My sister and I borrowed 3 3d printers from the school that my mom teaches at and used them to 3d print visors for medical staff. They work as a second line of defense to make sure no liquid comes into contact with the person’s face and is also reusable. We 3d printed the plastic frame that gives the entire face shield support. We then cut out a thin plastic filament that attaches onto the 3d print and acts as the barrier. We then added rubber bands that would make sure the face shield stays in one place. Finally, we attached foam to the plastic to allow for a comfortable fit for someone’s head.
