Much of the response to the COVID-19 crisis has centered around mobilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline healthcare workers. Individuals and groups have taken the difficult steps to coordinate efforts to make, purchase, and distribute such equipment. Many Exonians have contributed to these efforts. While some are profiled here (https://notforself.org/listing-category/personal-protective-equipment/), other efforts such as Lisa Cloitre ’90 have received visibility in mainstream media. This New Yorker article profiles her story: https://www.newyorker.com/news/us-journal/the-underground-efforts-to-get-masks-to-doctors. Congratulations to all Exonians who have given of themselves to help keep healthcare providers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
